“I relish working alongside nonprofit leaders to support their organizations’ missions, impact, and sustainability.”
Jennie Hill
Attorney
From a young age, Jennie has been driven to serve nonprofit and community causes. On the frontlines in the social service sector before becoming a lawyer, she spent more than 15 years running service organizations, where she experienced firsthand the challenges and rewards of leading this work and engaging communities. As an executive for sexual and domestic violence nonprofits in Illinois and Iowa, as well as Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) organizations in Texas and Oklahoma, Jennie helped to develop effective governance, personnel, fundraising, and financial policies.
Jennie is a laser-focused, fast, and pragmatic attorney, delivering high-quality work efficiently and with intention and care. She advises on a wide range of nonprofit legal matters — from employment to program management to procurement — and has extensive federal grant management experience.
She has also served on the board of directors for national and statewide child advocacy organizations and philanthropic nonprofit organizations. A skilled and prolific presenter and author, Jennie has presented at TEDx on the foster care system. She is deeply committed to sharing her knowledge of the law and lessons learned from her professional experiences to help lift up and strengthen nonprofit organizations.
